With the sun shining for the first clash of the season both Oakham School and Rugby School looked well prepared to lock horns at Ranksboro Polo Club.

Joe North gave his Oakham School teams some last minute advice whilst Philip Baker set about organising his Rugby School team. Play commenced and from the first throw in it was clear that both matches would be closely fought.

With more experience Rugby tried to dictate the play but Oakham played with great credit and the first game ended 1-1.

The second game followed a simular pattern but Rugby just managed to claim a 2-1 victory.

The players from both schools thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and should be given great credit for the level of their play.
